Amy the gorilla is being returned to the jungle after being part of a university experiment. Following her home is a group including a professor, an electronics expert, a guide and an explorer, amongst others. They are following her because they know that the animal will lead them to the lost city of Zinj and its diamond mines. What they do not realise is that once they enter the city they will find themselves in danger of becoming an endangered species themselves.
